Electrical Maintenance Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW :
Provides Electrical Engineering support for Maintenance activities at the Department of Energy Salt Waste Processing Facility.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES :
Primary Point of Contact for Electrical Engineering discipline support and review of Maintenance activities.
Responsible for preparing and obtaining approval of Maintenance Instructions.
Reviews and approves Work Orders for GS-1, GS-2, and GS-1 Specialty equipment.
Ensures post maintenance testing is developed, approved, and properly implemented.
Performs post maintenance review of work documents to capture lessons learned.
Prepare replacement-in-kind documentation and develop associated Field Change Notices.
4-year degree in Engineering (or related field) or equivalent experience and 10-12 years of related work experience. DOE or commercial nuclear experience is highly preferred.
Proficiency in utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (e.g. Maximo, Asset Suite, etc.). Potential to perform in a lead capacity, excellent written and oral communication skills, and a familiarity with industry practices are required. Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on the project.
