Parsons is now hiring a FieldProject Managerwith a desire to work on creating innovative, practical solutions while acting as a client representative.

In this role you willmanage facilities projects for Department of Labor at Job Corps Centers nationwide. This includes directing and coordinating subcontractor activities in accordance with project/client procedures, scope of work, and contract specifications.Serves as the primary point of contact with the client for all site activities related to assigned area(s) of responsibility.This role also provides facilities technical support to Job Corps Center operators.This position is based from the Arlington, Virginia office, and 25% travel to various Job Corps sites around the US is required.

Parsons extensive experience in this field, combined with your 10+ years of experience as a client rep at a field level will propel your career and leadership opportunities forward. We need our Field Project Managers to be versatile, enthusiastic to work in highly flexible, team-oriented environments that have exceptional communication, analytical and organizational skills. Construction scheduling credential is highly desired with experience developing and reviewing critical path schedules in Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.

  • Develops the scope of engineering work, schedules, and budgets for assigned project elements, and monitors progress to meet schedule and budget requirements. Identifies and documents changes in scope.

  • Assists in determining the scope of procurement work, schedules, and budgets for assigned project buy outs, monitoring progress to maintain those procurements. Interfaces with procurement and subcontract personnel to facilitate the bid process.

  • Coordinates the utilization of interdisciplinary technical personnel on the project with other Project Engineers.Coordinates the assignment of personnel from other technical support groups within the company.

  • Assists the Senior Project Manager in planning, directing, supervising, and controlling the execution of technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the project or study. Assists in determining the technical skills and staff hours required for successful completion of the project.

  • Ensures client criteria and scope are met by all engineering disciplines. Expedites distribution of action items following discussions/meetings with the client and Project Manager.

  • Prepares technical reports and documentation of activity for the client and project management.

  • Obtains, analyzes, and circulates technical and contractual information to project disciplines.

  • Manages relationships with Job Corps centers. Manages completion of deficiencies. Provides technical assistance as required by center to help them maintain the facility.

4-year degree in a technical or construction-related field (or equivalent) and at least 10 years' related work experience is required with at least 3 years in a leadership role at a field site. Enrollment in PM certification program is preferred, but not required.


Proven ability to perform in a lead capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a familiarity of industry practices and regulations are required.
