Parsons Federal is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to join a large, complex cyber program supporting the DoD.The Quality Control Specialist will reside within the Manufacturing group and will be responsible for ensuring all received vendor items are correct and serviceable for its intended purpose.This person is also responsible for tracking requirements for systems assembled by the Manufacturing group to ensure compliance with stakeholder needs.This person is the primary interface for warranty related issues.As such they will work closely with engineers to assess defects and be the liaison with item vendors and manufactures.This role requires excellent organization skills, familiarity with information technology and communication and an eye for details.

Responsibilities

·Provides support to Manufacturing Lead on factors affecting the suitability of procured items to meet their intended use.

·Work with engineers and technicians to establish product quality standards

·Assess assembled COTS products for compliance with stakeholder requirements

·Coordinates warranty actions with vendors and manufacturers.

·Coordinates with engineers and provides input to planners on impact of warranty actions.

·This is a full-time position, based in Centreville, VA.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

·4-year degree in Engineering or Quality Control, Testing or related field (or equivalent experience) and 10+ years of related work experience. Will consider work experience in lieu of a degree

·Must be a proficient with Microsoft Office tools

·Candidate must be a US Citizen with an active security clearance by the U.S. Government.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES :

Requires basic engineering knowledge in computer, financial, procurement, or a related field. Proficient PC skills including proficiency in various Project Controls Software and Microsoft Office Suite. Proven communications and leadership capabilities, as well as familiarity with industry practices is required.
