Do you know network protocols inside and out? Do you enjoy finding new ways to stop the adversary? As part of our Network Defense team you will help develop software, mitigation strategies and countermeasure to protect networks and stop adversaries.

The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of networking including systems security principles, protocols, routers and switches, IP routing and cyber defense countermeasures.


  • 8+ years of generalexperience in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or arelated discipline, including at least five years of experience insoftware-intensive projects and programs for government or industrycustomers. (Note: A bachelor's degree in computer science,engineering, mathematics or a related discipline may be substituted forfour years of general experience)

  • At least three yearsof the experience must have been as a software engineer supporting softwarearchitecture development, requirement analysis, process execution andevaluation, selectionand evaluation ofCOTS/GOTS tools, and integration (with both new and existing systems)



  • Proficient in operatingin a Linux (RHEL, CENTOS) system including the ability to use standardcommand line tools and configure networking interfaces includingcreating/modifying iptables rules

  • Proficient in thesoftware development process including requirements analysis, softwaredesign, implementation, testing, and integration using C, C++, Java, XML,Modern Web frameworks, Web services, and debugging and testing softwareprograms

  • Knowledge of XMLstructure, XML parsers, SQL and Perl

  • Apply knowledge ofdevelopment skills in Java threading/thread pooling, RMI, character setencoding, swing, JDBC, JMS, J2EE, Enterprise Java Beans, Web Logic, Servlets,and JSP
