We are looking for an experiencedproject manager to add to our team in either our Columbus Ohio or Pittsburgh office to support Roadway and/or Bridge Projects. We are looking for a great leader to join our team; one that inspires loyalty and commitment, with experience with BD functions, as well as proven success,leading technical teams to execute transportation projects on time and within budget!
Our PM's are seller/doers, are hands on with the project and have technical teams reporting directly to them. You will be working with a proposal team to create winning strategies and proposals, and upon award,will lead teams to ensure the program has a successful start-up, then support the design process through the project, overseeing and directing technical resources.Experience running these programs should include: Complex highway or bridge design; pricing, schedule, contracts, procurement, safety and PL management.
Additional responsibilities include:
Provides direction and management for medium to large-sized projects and ensures on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations.
Responsible for scope development, scope management and commercial performance of the project to meet project goals and objectives. Plans and defines program goals and devises methods to accomplish them; develops in-depth knowledge of client objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies. Must be familiar with the integration of engineering/technical aspects, as well as procurement and construction activities.
To effectively drive both capture and delivery in this market the Design Build Manager should have good rapport and strong contacts with various teaming partners including contractors and various State DOT clients.
The successful candidate must be willing to travel to support pursuits and projects outside the home office.
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with PE License.
12+ years of project management delivery experience on heavy transportation infrastructure projects (Road/Highway, or Bridge/Tunnel).
A proven track record of successful delivery in design/build project executions
Experience meeting operational business goals and strategizing on market development.
Incumbent should have a broad general technical and business background, as well as previous project management experience on similar or related projects.
Must have considerable DOT and municipal agency experience with highway or bridge projects.
Must be willing to travel as necessary to other Parsons' offices and client locations.
Incumbent will go through the Parsons’ project management certification process. Proven ability to perform in a management capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are also required. In addition, must be knowledgeable of current technology and how it can be effectively utilized on the project.
