Government Relations Officer - Dubai, UAE
Establish and manage communications with government and quasi-government entities as may be necessary to conduct business
Administer, procure and manage licenses and registrations for Parsons entities in the MEA region
Establish and maintain proper licenses and registrations log with early warning system, to ensure appropriate reallocation of time and effort for timely delivery of the services
Provide advice, support and assistance to the managers in the MEA region in relation to licenses, NoCs and other applications made to government or quasi-government entities.
Maintain knowledge and record of all regulations and legislations for licensing activities and ensure appropriate implementation and prepare strategies for various business groups.
Maintain and operate an accurate contract tracking and management system. Ensure system accuracy; and communicate with contract and agreement holders for timely and complete compliance with corporate policies.
Manage and keep track of payments made to external lawyers
Submit and ensure the processing of all types of applications and paperwork to the local government bodies, including but not limited to employment or residence visas, Trade License, labor permits, economic license etc.
Renew, update and keep up all employees and their dependents’ visas and work contracts on time to guarantee that organization’s records are up to date in the labor and Immigration Departments. Send notification to employees on required documents well before their visa expires.
Proactively manage the timely renewal of all Employment Visas and Labor Permits, and company related licenses; make sure all business and trade Licenses are updated, follow-up official approvals and permits, to prevent unnecessary violations.
Assist employees in the process of renewing visas for their immediate dependents
Maintain accurate database of employee’s documentsand visa copies
Acquire visas from different Embassies in UAE for staff members for business related travels
Deal promptly and productively on general enquiries about PRO functions
Ensure to comply with the organization’s rules and procedure to execute and deliver required services
Collect and give regular updates on all work and migration standards from the government offices to keep the office well informed for any changes in procedures and rules.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE SKILLS:
Preferred Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field andMinimum 6 years of experience as GRO in UAEand/or licensing administration experience
Excellent verbal written communication skills (both Arabic and English)
Excellent typing skills in both English and Arabic
Strong background of UAE Labor law
Extensive experience in the licensing and government approvals
Proficient in Microsoft Office with general strong IT knowledge on all Government official smart apps and websites
Proven interpersonal skills, the ability to workindependentlyand withincross functionalteams
Attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to respond and advise on HR issues
With a valid UAE driver’s license
