The key responsibilities of the Infrastructure Application Specialist (IAS) are to manage digital engineering processes to support our project delivery teams and execute the day to day development of digital engineering in Parsons Dubai office. The Infrastructure Applications Specialist (IAS)will be responsible for the effective integration, implementation and compliant adoption of infrastructure engineering applications, processes and protocols. Moreover, the IAS will ensure all infrastructure applications are being utilized in optimum automated manner and various software applications are integrated seamlessly to minimize interactions and re-work. The IAS will collaborate with design team members to analyze client specific design requirements of the project and develop and implement solutions to meet such requirements in a timely manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Enhance design and productionefficiency by introduction of intelligent tools and customized add-ons (e.g.Lisp routines, MDLs, etc.) ;
Integrate differentinfrastructure engineering applications seamlessly in an automated mannerto minimize the inter and intra design discipline coordination andcollaboration efforts/works.
Coordinate closely with designmanagers and the Technical Director on enhancing design workflows.
Participate and support the BIMManagement Office (BMO) activities with the development and implementationof the MEA Going Digital Roadmap.
Drive implementation of standards,processes procedures and provide progress and performance updates onfortnightly and monthly basis.
Proactive approach and learningof new technology to evaluate and drive the deployment (hardware and software)with Parsons IS.
Support the setup, development,configuration, establishment of the Common Data Environment (CDE) forproject use.
Develop and maintain softwaretemplate files suitable for engineering applications (Civil3D, REVIT, InRoads,etc.) to assure standards.
Manage and support object(s)creation and maintain libraries according to the relevant project(s) andstage(s) needs.
Manage, support and validateproject design delivery. e.g. 3D modeling, detailing, scheduling andextraction.
Review, monitor and report onthe development of clash interference and fully coordinated models, followup resolution and closure with Design leads for internal designdevelopment.
In coordination with theQuality manager ensure that’s all deliverables follow the company’sQuality Management review procedures
Support the Quality departmentduring conducting audits and supply chain non-conformance(s).
Oversee model integration, validateand export model geometry and data to schedules for internal design andcommercial activities.
Support the Contracts andProject Controls department in BIM related activities.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES AND TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineeringor Computer science.
Minimum 10 years’ hands ondesign experience (highways, structures or utilities) or infrastructure software applications support.
Experience with British BIMStandards PAS1192 and BS1192.
Proficient in a range proprietarysoftware applications such as ACAD, MicroStation, REVIT, InRoads, Civil3D,StormCAD, NavisWorksand similar engineering applications.
Working knowledge of designworkflows, production cycle and priorities.
Knowledge of advanceprogramming languages such as .NET, VB, etc..
Middle East/Gulf Countriesexperience preferred.
