Parsons is seeking a Civil Engineer to support various projects throughout the Western Pacific Region (AWP).

Support the Program in the FAA Western Pacific Region (AWP) on various projects requiring civil engineering including the design of grading, drainage, and paving projects.

Attend site surveys in support of design and develop site survey reports including the evaluation of existing conditions and recommendations for the design based on the conditions, codes, and the Client design criteria.

Preparation of design drawings and specifications for construction using national codes and standards and Client criteria

Support the development of independent construction cost estimates for in-house designs.

Provide periodic on-site inspection of construction work.

Provide engineering support during construction including responses to requests for information, development of independent estimates for potential change orders, and submittal review to ensure compliance with design documents

Evaluate field problems and recommended solutions


4-year degree in Engineering (or related field) and 5-8 years of related work experience.

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate preferred, but not required.

Ability to read and understand geotechnical investigations and apply geotechnical recommendations by others to the design of site plots, parking lots, access roads, and other civil structures and appurtenances.

Computer Aided Design using Mictostation© experience is preferred.

Federal Government experience is preferred.

Must be able to meet customer security requirements. A background check by Federal Authorities will be performed.

T4 Program Summary: The Federal Aviation Administration(FAA) awarded the Technical Support Services Contract 4 (T4) to Parsons inAugust 2012. Parsons is the prime contractor. This $1.3 billion+ contract has a4-year base period with two 3-year options. The statement of work includes avariety of activities that support the FAA’s Capital Investment Plan (CIP)modernization efforts: Site selection and engineering, construction,environmental and fire/life safety, equipment installation and testing, CAD,and other technical services as required. Work is performed across the nationin each of the FAA’s nine regions as well as the Aeronautical Center inOklahoma City, Oklahoma, and the Technical Center in Atlantic City, New Jerseyand in several U.S. territories. An average staff of 400-500 with a peak staffover 650 supports this contract, in addition to those subcontractors whoperform construction work.
