Parsons is now hiring a Senior Program Manager with a desire to manage adiverse team of technical and programmatic expertsat the United States Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) mission in El Segundo, CA.

In this role you will: engage and lead a multi-faceted system-of-systems engineering and integration effort involving space, ground, and Command and Control (C2) systems along with developing and executing a Program Management Plan. Program Managers at this level have experience with enterprise integration, systems engineering integration, and space weapon system domain knowledge/experience.

Parsons extensive experience in this field, combined with your 15+ years of experience supporting engineering efforts in the space and missile domain will propel your career and leadership opportunities forward. We need our Senior Program Managers to be versatile, enthusiastic to work in highly flexible, team-oriented environments and manage all aspects of the project, including cost, schedule and performance. Knowledge of Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) and Environmental Monitoring Systems portfolios advantageous.

Responsibilities:

  • Effective interpersonal capabilities and communications skills engaging with internal and external stakeholders

  • Oversight of contract performance, schedule, personnel, and all deliverables

  • Conduct schedule analysis; develop, coordinate, and manage all program activities to ensure realization of project milestones on time and within budget

Requirements:

  • B.S., STEM based degree

  • Minimum 15 years of experience supporting engineering efforts in the space and missile domain. Advantageous to have a background that involves both prime contractor development work and Government oversight support.

  • Demonstrated growth in responsibilities leading medium and large size teams to achieve engineering integration objectives.

  • DoD and/or Intelligence Community space program experience preferred

  • Capability to develop and present program briefings to senior management-level personnel

  • Candidate must have a DoD Top Secret clearance; TS/SCI clearance or TS/SCI eligible (DCID 6/4 adjudicated) advantageous.

  • Ability to provide vision and leadership to a team of test and engineering personnel

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and requirements while interfacing with multiple programs and organizations

  • Exceptional written and verbal skills; comfortable with MS Office suite toolset

  • Travel less than 25%
