DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Land Rehabilitation and Maintenance (LRAM) Field Crew Leader performs all the duties of the Heavy Equipment Operator with the additional duties of serving as the primary point of contact to the LRAM Coordinator and the On-site Project Manager for Fort Bragg’s Integrated Training Area Management (ITAM) Program. The LRAM Field Crew Leader prioritizes and executes LRAM projects based on input from the LRAM Coordinator and assists the LRAM Coordinator in identifying and prioritizing potential work sites ensuring that all work is performed in compliance with applicable statutory regulations, including the National Environmental Protection Act, Endangered Species Act, and Migratory Bird Treaty Act.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
The minimum qualifications for this labor category are: a high school diploma or equivalent combined with a minimum ten (10) years of professional work experience, to include a minimum five (5) years in a leadership role and a minimum five (5) years working of experience conducting land management projects on a military installation or the North Carolina Sand Hills region. Shall have advanced experience in equipment operation, maintenance and repair, project logistics, and on-site project management. Demonstrated ability to perform field work under severe environmental conditions and in rugged terrain, operation of light/heavy equipment. Required technical certification includes a valid Commercial Driver’s License.
SPECIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
US driver’s license and must pass MVR and be able to maintain legal driving privileges both on and off post.
Ability to successfully pass NAC-I (National Agency Check with Inquiries) investigation.
