Technical Project Lead

Individual will serve as a liaison between the Construction Contractor and the Customer Researchers. Efforts will predominantly involve assistance in of design related activities on behalf of the client. Activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate with the users for design (and construction) schedules

  • Schedule design related meeting, interviews, and surveys with researchers

  • Research design (and construction) issues

  • Assist in development of scopes of work for new task orders/changes associated with the overall program

  • Coordination will entail good communication skills as this individual is expected to work directly with the researchers to identify design/construction needs and weigh them against the researcher’s normal operational requirements

  • Set up meetings with customers

  • Coordinate with researchers for access into their space

  • Coordinate and ensure the correct number of dosimetry escorts based on the number of occupants trying to get into each space

  • Assist the PMs and COR with communicating impacts (design and construction) to the customer.

  • Research design issues to verify the proposed solutions meet the requirements of the contract

  • Be able to research design issues with industry standards requirements

  • Recognize the difference between a design solution and a within budget/within requirements contract solution and be able to push back on the contractor

  • Investigate and assist client in the resolution of programmatic issues

  • Assist in budget analysis

  • Develop spreadsheets for tracking of long-range items

  • Assist in development of briefings


  • 10+ years of experience as a project lead

  • Experience in projects for both design and construction projects (preferably with design-build projects, but not required)

  • Knowledgeable about renovation work in an occupied facility – emphasis is on ensuring protection research researchers equipment during construction

  • MUST be a good communicator via both verbal and written skills
