POSITION OVERVIEW :
Want to take yourSmartPlant SPEL Adminstration expertise to the next level to work on tough projects that will make a huge impact on the nation? Parsons is now hiring an experiencedSmartPlant SPEL Administratorwith demonstrated track record of successful Implementations with large scale Federal or heavy industrial/oil and gas projects experience forour Federal Business Unit. Previous Federal and International Project Experience highly preferred.
SPEL Administrator will beresponsible for all aspects SPEL application implementation and support to include but not limited to:
Engineering Application Lead Interface
US Citizenship is required. A National Agency Check will be required.
Applicants selected for employment will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet additional eligibility requirements for access to classified information or materials.
** NO Relocation assistance/NO sign-on bonus will be available for this position.
4-year degree in engineering-related discipline required. Electrical Engineering preferred.
Minimum10 + years of progressive experience working with engineering-related software and/or engineering IT technologies.
SmartPlant SPEL experience and expertise requiredas SPEL Administrator on a large Federal or EPC project required from implementation to delivery.
Oil and Gas experience highly preferred.
Electrical Engineering or Electrical Design Background
In-depth Knowledge of SPEL ERDs
SmartPlant Engineering Manager
SPEL Custom Reports
SPEL Import Manager
SPEL Rule Manager
Formatting / Creation of Engineering Deliverables
Formatting / Creation Design Deliverables
ETAP Experience a Plus
SKM Experience a Plus
Microsoft Access, Oracle, SQL Visual Basic (including the ability to program)
Strong Communication Skills both Written and Verbal Required.
Strong Organizational Skills
High Support Drive
Seasoned expert with 2D/3D CAD, BIM and GIS and how these systems relate to Parsons requirements
Working knowledge of software licensing models and requirements
A thorough understanding of applicable database and project software applications and technology.
Strong technical understanding of the infrastructure required for engineering systems such as servers, advanced 2D/3D work stations, networks and associated systems
A broad understanding of the strategic impacts of enterprise initiatives that support engineering systems and architecture.
Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative and diverse team environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Written and oral communication skills appropriate for the position , including the ability to speak with authority on technical issues in various professional settings and to persuade listeners regarding best approach to resolving user's problem(may include communication via telephone, in person, presenting to large groups, community events). Ability to write complex documents (may include policies and procedures and presentations). Communicates with a wide variety of individuals (employees and all levels of management) throughout the organization and outside of the organization (i.e. clients, vendors).

Ability to work independently and take the initiative in identifying and resolving issues; resourcefulness in finding practical solutions.
