We are looking for an Advanced Test Requirements Engineer to provide systems engineering technical support to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) – System Engineering Test Requirements (DE/EEF) by identifying and resolving complex problems crossing organizational boundaries, as well as promulgating solutions. The selected candidate will support MDA/EEFE (EEF Execution) test requirements development, coordination, and execution. Position may require occasional travel.
Perform mission analysis, capability requirements and allocation analysis, top-level design synthesis, and functional analysis and allocation.
Engage in concept planning; design and development; integration, testing and verification at the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) system, element or component level.
Identify needs of internal and external stakeholders and address their concerns in cooperation with coworkers.
Develop and present technical briefings and reports to Senior Management.
Support MDA System Engineering Test Requirements (EEF) with technical support to the Increment Test Requirements Lead (ITRL), Requirements Development SME (RDSME), Flight Test Lead System Engineer (FT-LSE), Flight Test Requirements Lead (FT-RL), Ground Test Requirements Lead (GT-RL), and Digital Test Requirements Lead (D-RL) to initiate FT/GT/Digital system test event planning; establish FT/GT/Digital assessment requirements; identify, detail, and recommend lowest cost test venues; perform FT Readiness development and reviews; perform FT/GT/Digital system test event planning, coordination, and execution support for system Digital, Ground Test Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL), and Flight Test events to ensure sufficient test planning and data generation to support the USFK JEON requirements.
Activities will include development of informational and decision briefs as identified by the ITRL, RDSME, FT-LSE, FT-RL, GT-RL, and D-RL; participation in coordination and technical meetings; and generation of Systems Engineering Test Requirements products as defined in system event Concepts-of-Operations (CONOPS) and test planning documentation.
Required Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:
BS/BA in Engineering or technical equivalent with 15+ years experience in related field (or MS/MA with 10+ years related experience, or PhD in Engineering or technical equivalent with 7+ years experience in related field)
Demonstrated complex systems problem solving and analytical skills
Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated ability to develop and provide briefings and status updates to Senior- and Executive-level Management
Proficient with Microsoft Office products and applications.

Desired Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:
Experience supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS)
Understanding MDA Systems Engineering practices and processes
Experience supporting THAAD and/or Patriot test planning and/or requirements highly desired.
Familiarity with BMDS-level documentation (e.g. BMD System Description Document (BMD SDD), BMD System Specification (BMD SS), etc.)
