Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector is seeking a Systems Engineer 3 or 4 modeling and simulation developer to join our team in Huntsville, AL. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman’s IBCS Systems Engineering and Integration team. The team supports performance analysis of the IBCS system.

The qualified applicant:

Design, develop, integrate, document, test and debug application software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.

Analyzes system software capabilities to resolve problems during the software development and integration effort, helps modify and develop new requirements, prepares software development packages for peer review inspections and helps develop and executes test plans and procedures during unit integration and system test.

Helps perform functional and verification requirements analysis helps development and execution of validation plans for validation of software component simulations.

Basic Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, the candidate must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below.

Systems Engineer 3: requires 5 years with Bachelor of Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD. Degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics.


Systems Engineer 4: requires 9 years with Bachelor of Science; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD. Degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics.


Design, develop, integrate, and test Java and Python software in a Unix/Linux environment


Experience with a source control management system (Subversion, Git, etc.)


Strong communication and interpersonal skills


Strong problem-solving skills


Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:


IBCS experience.


Experience with battle management algorithm modeling and simulation.


Data architecture design, modeling, and implementation.
