Parsons is now hiring an experienced Project Manager with 5, 10 and 15 years of experience with a desire to work on creating innovative, practical solutions to various LA Countycapital improvement projects at various County facilitiesthat enhance the urban fabric of our community.
Candidates are required to have at least 5 years (PMI), 10 years (PMII), or 15 years (PMIII) of progressive experience in managing building projects through planning, design, jurisdictional approvals, construction, and close-out.
Candidates must possess the following:
·5 (PMI), 10 (PMII), or 15 (PMIII) yearsof project management experience;
·Minimum of1 year (PMI) or 5 years (PMII and PMIII)of OSHPD experience including maintenance type work (required for Health Section only);
·Strong leadership and communications skills;
·Experience working with multiple project delivery methods such as design build, job order contracts, design-bid-build, etc.;
·Strong MEP Skills;
·Experience working in an operational healthcare facility including maintenance type work(required for Health Section only);
·Work experience and knowledge regarding seismic bracing of utilities and anchoring of equipment;
·Work on high visibility, high risk projects;
·Ability to develop project budgets;
·Ability to develop project schedules;
·Ability to control project scopes;
·Work experience in project planning and development;
·Ability to run the day-to-day management aspects of a project;
·Skill in reviewing deliverables prepared by team before proceeding to next phase;
·Organized person who understands coordination of construction documents;
·Ability to procure consulting services, monitor their work, and process payments;
·Ability to facilitate team and client meetings effectively;
·Effectively recognize and elevate relevant project issues to superiors; and
·Set and manage project expectations;
Experience in the following is desirable:
·Working on projects with multiple phases and construction contracts;
·Knowledge of Public Contracting practices;
·Experience on projects with multiple permit packages and construction phases;
·Knowledge of LEED; and experience in working on LEED certified projects;
·Licensed as an engineer or architect, and/or a Certified Construction Manager Certificate(Required for PMIII level)
4-year degree in Project Management or Civil Engineering related technical/business field
12-15 years of related engineering management experience.
Incumbent should have a broad general technical and business background.
Professional registration may also be required.
Must have the ability to manage projects, interface with clients and enjoy being hands on technically in the project. Our Project Managers still get very involved in the designs on the project.
Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards
Incumbent must meet Parsons' project management certification requirements. Proven ability to perform in a management capacity, excellent written and oral communications
