Parsons is seeking a senior technical leader who will be responsible for the oversight of IT systems, scope, and interface for the Los Angeles International's Automated People Mover (APM). This individual will be responsible for providing APM coordination between the other Landside Access Modernization Program (LAMP) elements such as the consolidated rental car facility, the intermodal facility, and roadway improvements. This is one of the largest infrastructure programs and Public Private Partnerships under way in the United States and requires a world-class professional to support the team.

  • Primary interface with the client to define IT and systems status / requirements.

  • Advise on IT systems technical specification for each element.

  • Coordinate with stakeholders to develop the APM and LAMP-wide scope for IT and ensure it is assigned appropriately to each element.

  • If it is determined a separate IT contract is required for any portion of the IT work, serve as Project Manager for all phases of work (planning, delivery, activation/integration).

  • Serve as APM’s IT systems Interface Lead.

  • Review technical submitals from the Developer(s)/Contractor(s).

Qualifications :

  • 4-year degree in Information Technology, Business (or related curriculum)

  • 15+ years experience in the area of Information Modeling, Project Controls, Document Management, and Systems Development Life Cycle;

  • Preferred experience with Construction Management and Engineer Systems.

  • Ability to manage and deliver to internal and external client expectations.

  • Ability to win trust and respect from OSS Management, PMs, and Client personnel coupled with a deep understanding of the OSS and IS processes, services and functions.

  • Must possess excellent IT Project Management and Client-Facing skills. Knowledge of PMI based project management methodologies.

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, decision making, and crisis control skills.

  • Ability to manage and excel in a complex matrix environment, connecting people effectively, and influencing positive outcomes.

  • Written and oral communication skills appropriate for the position, including the ability to speak with authority on business and technical issues in various professional settings. Preferred extensive experience with the creation and delivery of effective and compelling presentation materials to Senior Management.

  • Willingness to travel and commit to project/company needs.

  • To be a Parsons Certified PCM within 1-year of accepting this position.

  • To understand Parsons Safety and Quality Programs within 1-year of accepting this position.

  • To understand Parsons contractors and procurement processes within 1-year of accepting this position.

  • Have a deep understanding of domestic and international project lifecycles.
