Cyber Security Systems Engineer II

This position may require some travel to Bethesda, MD (split time between two locations)
Cyber Security Analyst supports the sponsor and assists their response team which leads the investigation, clean up and reporting of all malware infections, suspicious files and other issues.
Analyzing all relevant cyber security event data and other data sources for attack indicators and potential security breaches; produce reports, assist in coordination during incidents; and coordinate with the Network Defense OM team to ensure all security monitoring systems on-line, up to date, and operational
Applicants selected for employment will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet additional eligibility requirements for access to classified information or materials. TS/SCI/Poly required.
Associate of Science degree in Information Technology, IT Security, Network Systems Technology or related field or equivalent experience plus four (4) to seven (7) years of directly related experience or any equivalent combination of education, experience, training and certifications.
Ability to deliver capabilities related to a particular skill, language, system, or technology. Requires a minimum of three years of experience specific to the skill.
Ability, training, and actual work experience with the specific computer language, systems, and/or technology is significantly more important than the number of years of experience.
Either an ISC2 CISSP certification or SANS GSEC certification within 9 months of start date on the contract.
Possess considerable knowledge in monitoring network defense technologies and analyzing the products produced.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts and project information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
