This highly complex project includes a state of the art Passenger Terminal complex servicing domestic and international flights, airside services, landside facilities, and off-airport development projects. The project will provide the systems and infrastructure to support airport operations including: runways and taxiways system, air traffic control tower, aircraft rescue and fire fighting facilities, access roadways, multimodal transportation center, parking facilities, automated people mover, cargo development, aircraft maintenance, fuel farm, catering and other support facilities.

We areseeking several Systems Engineers to support Terminal Element Project Managers with the following responsibilities:

  • Oversee, and review the designs of various electronic and IT systems, providing consulting design oversight, coordination of designs, testing and implementation and commissioning of the equipment with the consultants/contractors.

  • Ensure designs meet client requirements and standards

  • Bid package completion for airport specific Information Technology (IT), security systems, and technology integration services.

  • Provide support through construction of final systems

In addition, you will be engaged in Ramp Services Management Systems, Fire Alarm, Building Controls and SCADA, Lighting Controls. Airport Systems - including Common Use Terminal Equipment (CUTE), Airport Operational Database (AODB), Electronic Video Information Displays (EVIDS), Paging, Information Technology including cable plant, network architecture and equipment, voice, Point of Sale (POS), ATM, hotel information boards, and payphones. You will be responsible for interpreting project plans, project schedules and specifications and overseeing contractor designs.

Terrestrial Trunked Radio Systems (TETRA), Baggage Reconciliation System (BRS), Campus Area Network (CAN), Network Management Systems (NMS), wireless Local Area Network/Becon Technology, Private Mobile Radio (PMR), Information Kiosks, Message Distribution Systems (MDS), Perimeter Intrusion Detection systems (PIDS)

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in communications systems, large operations support or control systems design, design management and project management in a large airport environment.

  • Specific experience as an airport operator, airline employee, or related technology support service is preferred.

  • Track record of installing campus communications networks, industrial complex communications, data centers, monitoring or industrial control systems, large distributed information systems

  • Knowledge of EIA/TIA standards, BICSI building wiring practices, and inside telecommunications systems

  • Familiarity and previous experience with the systems described above

  • Bachelors in Electrical, Electronic or Computer Engineering, computer science, programming, or related discipline in engineering

Languages:

  • Fluent in English

  • Proficiency in Spanish ispreferred
