Parsons is seeking Construction Bridge Superintendent for high-profile and complex heavy civil infrastructure construction project. The ideal candidate will have experience on complicated transportation projects such as signature bridges, marine facilities, interstate highways or rail/transit.
The Construction Superintendent plans, organizes, and supervises specific portions of construction work such as structures, roadways, and utilities; applying expertise and specialized talents to guide the efforts of assigned craft and subcontractors. Willingness to relocate is expected.
Provides direct supervision to foremen and craft to attain required production, safety, and quality.
Provides oversight and coordination of assigned subcontractors to attain required schedule compliance, safety commitment, and quality.
Works with Owner representatives to optimize client satisfaction.
Organizes and allocates the workforces to maintain proper manpower balance.
Coordinates equipment requirements and material deliveries with construction schedules.
Assists in the selection and development of craft foremen.
Coordinates layout requirements with field engineers and verifies that work is built in accordance with layout.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
4-year degree in construction-related field (or equivalent construction-related work experience).
7+ years of demonstrated Bridge experience.
Willingness to relocate is preferable as Parsons pursues work nationwide. Relocation assistance will be provided.
Proven leadership and supervisory capability.
Knowledgeable about means and methods for concrete structures, forming, reinforcing and structural steel.
Maturity in interaction with others and ability to operate independently in the field.
Able-bodied as the work requires physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; climbing ladders; and bending.
