Parsons is now hiring a Signal Engineer for our rapidly expanding project located in San Francisco, CA.

We need our engineers to be versatile, enthusiastic to work in highly flexible, team-oriented environment and who have exceptional communication, analytical and leadership skills.
This position will support Rail and Transit Systems projects. The Senior Signal Project Engineer’s duties will include development of procurement documents, detailed designs, cost estimates, product reviews, design reviews, construction support and other responsibilities as needed by the position. The position requires that the individual must be willing to travel and have expertise in solid-state and conventional relay-based signaling systems.
The successful candidate will perform the following:
Detailed design of signal systems including, block design, vital and non-vital processor programming, relay circuit design, cable plan design and field equipment layout.
Development of contract specifications for third party contracts,preparing specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
Design of systems and support during construction phase of the project.
Review supplier and/or contractor submittals and product data and support installations, testing and cutovers.
Prepare engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, and designs.
Technical bid analyses.
BSEE or equivalent
5-8years experience in signal system design/integration
You should haveexperience with signaling systems including track circuits, solid state or computer-based interlockings; Train to Wayside Communications. Experience in designing and deploying such systems on Light Rail Lines, and/or CBTC
Proven ability to perform ina supervisory capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required.
Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on project.
Ability to provide other medium and low voltage electrical design support as needed.
