Are you an experienced VTC/VoIP engineer in the cleared space? If so, we are seeking a Network Engineer with specializations in VTC and VoIP technologies to join our team in Portsmouth, VA.

The Network Engineer will provide technical and engineering support related to the design, configuration, and testing of VTC and VoIP solutions slated for fielding at various Navy shore installations. Responsibilities include:

  • In-depth configuration of voice/video gateways, call-processing agents, and endpoints

  • Design, hardening, testing, and deployment of secure voice and video over IP solutions for Navy shore and afloat users in support of PMW790 / SPAWAR

  • Development of requisite design documentation IAW DAU guidelines

  • Development of technical documentation, engineering practices, and standard operating procedures for use by lab engineers and Navy IT personnel

  • Establish guidelines for systems configuration management, base lining, backups, and restoration


  • Extensive experience with Cisco's Tele-presence suite (VCS-Control/Expressway, MCUs, TMS, endpoints, etc.) as well as common signaling protocols (SIP and H.323)

  • Extensive experience with Cisco CUCM, Interworking Gateways, SRST, call routing, etc.

  • Firm understanding of Quality of Service (QoS) in Voice/Video/Data networks.

  • Solid foundation in Cisco routing, switching (IOS) and firewall (ASA) administration

  • Familiarity with VMware virtualization (ESX) and administration

  • Experience with technical writing

  • Familiarity with engineering design process per Defense Acquisition guidelines

  • Familiarity with DoD IA requirements, hardening, and patching (STIGs, IAVA/B, ACAS/HBSS/SCAP)

  • Desired certifications:

  • CCNA, CCNA-Voice/Collaboration

  • 8570.01M-compliant security certification (CompTIA Security+, CCNA-Security, etc)
