In this role, you will perform a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy on site daily at active construction sites. Work involves most of the following: installing or repairing any of a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment; working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications, locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment, working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment, and using a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
Perform installation, inspection and maintenance services for wireless radio and antenna systems on towers, rooftops and other elevated structures.
Perform light civil scopes in support of radio systems cabling grounding and DC power distribution.
We reimburse travel with extended stays required where sites arelocated, paid training, and incentive programs for those who exceed expectations. Parsons provides new vehicles, phones, tools and test equipment making the work environment less challenging.
This position requires extensive travel for weeks at a time reimbursed with paid per diem.: 90% of work is performed on-site, outdoors and with exposure to the elements of nature as well as working under normal construction conditions.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
California Electrical Journeyman’s license required or equivalent.
Must be well versed with the National Electrical Code.
Minimum of 5 years of commercial electrical experience, Cell Site/Telecom experience a plus.
Must understand and have the ability to install DC power plants.
Ability to work on energized circuits or equipment.
Works at various heights and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders.
Attend inspections and construction walks with the client.
Must possess good housekeeping and organizational skills (maintenance and cleanliness of jobsite and work vehicle).
Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
